Session 3: Curriculum Development and Designing Presentations


In the Curriculum Development portion of this training, you will receive an overview of the training development process, beginning with conducting a front-end assessment and developing corresponding participant learning objectives to conducting effective research on any subject, to putting together training content. The session will also discuss issues of copyright and proper citation and references of research materials.  In addition, you will learn the basic guidelines of creating electronic presentations.


Anyone who is in the position of needing to design and deliver training sessions/workshops within and outside of their organization, including those with zero curriculum development experience.

Description: This training will be extremely helpful to anyone who ever finds themselves in the position of needing to develop training/workshop content for their organization/staff team and then deliver this content.


$199 per day per attendee or

Training Objectives:

Upon completion of this training, you will be able to do the following:

  • When asked to provide training on a particular topic or in an effort to solve a particular employee performance problem, you will be able to conduct the necessary elements of the front-end assessment
  • When putting together a training curriculum, you will be able to (1) create effective learning objectives for training participants, (2) conduct effective research on the subject and include the information gleaned through this process into the curriculum, (3) incorporate various material delivery techniques and training modalities into the curriculum in accordance with adult learning principles and different learning styles, (4) adhere to copyright regulations
  • When gathering informational resources on a given topic, you will be able to discern between credible and low-quality information and put together a useful library of resources
  • When creating visual aids for their presentations, you will be able to put together an appealing and informative visual presentation using Microsoft PowerPoint or similar software
