First Aid
Description:
This class is designed to meet the needs of a person with no medical background in obtaining skills that can be used to provide basic treatment for a variety of illnesses and injuries. This class provides with information about how to recognize emergencies and how to assess both conscious and unconscious victims. You will learn about different types of common illnesses and injuries and the types of treatment that can be safely used. You will also have hands-on practice in performing skills such as bandaging and splinting. This class can be combined with CPR for a more comprehensive learning experience. Upon successful completion of the class, you will receive an American Red Cross certification card good for three years.

Individuals seeking certification for employment as well as those seeking personal growth.
Hours: 3 ½ - 7 ½ hours depending on segments taught
