Biography

I have worked in the social service field since 1995, primarily for Service Alternatives, Inc. I have specialized in the fields of cultural competency, behavioral disorders, and developmental disabilities.

As a well-traveled trainer, I have conducted crisis management workshops for thousands and chair the curriculum development committee of the Service Alternatives Training Institute.

I also provide multicultural outreach to families who care for children with developmental disabilities in underserved communities in the Seattle area. I was born in the Philippines and immigrated to the United States as a teenager.

Interests

Enjoy doing crossfit, Filipino martial arts, reading books, cooking and being a foodie.

What does training mean to me?

Training is more than just a "classroom." Training brings a community together to learn from one another. Training gives me the opportunity to share my knowledge and skills and to learn from my class participants. The joy of training comes from knowing that I have been a part of someone's change in perspective and knowledge.
